Welcome to BoyMom.com!

Holy. Cow.

No, seriously. Holy. Freaking. Cow.

If I told you all of the things that have been happening over here that would have made any normal person stop the pursuit of this project, you might be on your feet clapping - - - No? Just me? Fine. #SelfLove

In reality, putting together BoyMom.com has not only been a massive challenge, but a labor of love - and it’s only just beginning! We haven’t even scratched the surface of what we really want this project to be. My desire is that we create this platform for moms all over to participate and share their stories with other women from all over the world. My vision is that we build a community of moms - build friendships - build a beautiful tribe that so many of us long for.

I heard that “amen” in the back, sister. I got you.

I personally love writing and over-sharing. I have trouble with curbing what should be personal and what should be made public - so I compromise and make everything public! Whew! It’s such a relief when you stop caring whether or not you should share something and you just do it! - I’m certain my mother is shaking her head right now.

From court cases to COVID-19 (hellllllo, self-quarantined purgatory) to rolling my minivan last week with my 2-yr-old in the back seat, the last couple weeks have been something out of a nightmare. While the new website is still launching on time, it’s not quite where we’d like it to be - BUT we can only go up from here!

Some of you might be asking “What can I expect from BoyMom.com?” - Ok, maybe none of you are asking that, but I’ll answer it anyway!

BoyMom.com is going to feature moms sharing their stories about juggling being a working mom and raising a family, or the struggles of life balance as a Stay-At-Home (SAH) mom, or how crazy life is with twins, or how postpartum depression really took a toll on their early motherhood years, or the heartbreak of miscarriage, or how unique life can be with a child who has autism. Additionally, we might occasionally have a guest blogger who only has girls - and that’s ok. “But, Lauren, this is “BOYMOM”. You can’t do that.” Well - technically, I can. The point is - We all do this mom-thing differently. We all have different experiences. We can all benefit from a community of love and mom-networking.

But - It takes a village, y’all. We exist because you’re not alone. We exist because we all want to be part of a bigger purpose.

You can comment and provide support on each blog post - Please no negativity, y’all. I love a good sassy queen - but we’ll remove the keyboard warriors and judgmental Jenny’s. Mmmk? #GoodVibesOnly

I’m really excited you’re here on this journey with our team and with all of the amazing mamas that have participated thus far. Grab your coffee (or your wine - no judgment, girlfriend) and dive into some of these stories.

Lo McClive

I’m a #boymom of 3 boys and a step-mom to 2 boys. We are a baseball, guitar, jujitsu, soccer, video gaming, amusement park going, and traveling family. We travel monthly with one of my sons’ travel baseball teams and absolutely love spending time together!
